| The ISIC welcomes inquiries from companies interested in participating in and sponsoring ISIC research projects. ISIC sponsorship takes one of two forms: membership in the ISIC Research Sponsor Program or Project Sponsorship. The ISIC Research Sponsor Program also includes a membership category that allows firms and entrepreneurial ventures making less than $10 million in annual revenues to participate at a reduced fee. Additionally, companies wishing to sponsor the ISIC's StorageNetworking.org Initiative can participate in the StorageNetworking.org Sponsor Program, either independently or in combination with ISIC research support.
Companies may join the ISIC as Research Sponsors via a charitable gift of $20,000 per membership year. Research Sponsors receive three benefits: first, through active participation, sponsors help define the research objectives and projects of the ISIC; second, sponsors receive all publications produced by the ISIC, including research briefs, working papers, surveys, case studies and executive briefings; third, sponsors are valued members of the ISIC community, with access to all ISIC researchers, staff, and students at meetings and symposiums held over the course of the sponsorship year. An additional benefit is recognition as a valued sponsor on the ISIC website and in Center publications, at events and seminars that the ISIC participates in, and in press releases and other appropriate publications.
The ISIC is committed to enabling smaller companies and startup ventures to participate in Center research. Companies with less than $10 million in annual revenues may join the ISIC as Research Sponsors for $5,000 per membership year.
Companies many also elect to directly support ISIC research activities by becoming Project Sponsors. This sponsorship category is appropriate for corporations interested in working directly with project faculty on jointly-defined research. Projects may have more than one sponsoring company, and are characterized by a high degree of interaction throughout key project milestones and deliverables. Sponsor fees vary depending on the complexity of the project and the number of supporting companies, but project sponsors typically invest a minimum $25,000 for the agreed project.
Companies interested in building their brand recognition within this growing community of practice may participate as StorageNetworking.org Sponsors. Initiative sponsors are recognized for supporting university-based educational activities, strengthening the bonds between academia and the industry, being thought leaders and visionaries, and raising the level of professionalism in the industry. There are three levels of membership in the program: Founding, Supporting, and Participant. Founding Sponsors commit a gift of $25,000 per annum; Supporting Sponsors $10,000 per annum; and Participant Sponsors $2,500 per annum (only companies with less than $10 million in annual revenues are eligible to become Participant Sponsors).
